I was surprised and excited to see this hawk fly low across the back yard this morning. He perched on the fence and that gave me time to grab my camera and get a couple photos. I'm guessing it's a red tailed hawk. I am used to seeing them perched in trees along the rural highways. This is a first spotting for me in suburbia.
Our small Oklahoma town employs a Parking Enforcement Officer, and there are no parking meters. Also, we have angled in parking rather than parallel parking.
While parked downtown this morning, I shot a couple pics of this building through my car's moon roof. The weather is lovely, and should be a nice weekend for the various activities going on throughout the area.
Tropical storm Hermine brought rain to northeast Oklahoma yesterday, and it continued throughout this afternoon. Got a shot of the clearing sky just before sunset this evening.
I was headed downtown to do some errands this morning and noticed the state of Oklahoma outlined in the route on the navigation screen. LOL! Yeah, so I pulled over and snapped a photo of the screen.
