A snowy view from the cul-de-sac this evening; made it up to the mid forties today; the thaw will continue with the warmer weather forecast through next week. Another day of no mail delivery (no tire tracks in the snow). Also no trash collection yesterday. And for the stupid people who write in to the local newspaper saying that the city snowplows our neighborhood ... here's proof that they don't!

According to the National Weather Service Office in Tulsa, Bartlesville and Pryor both dropped to -28 Thursday morning, making this the coldest temperature on record in Oklahoma.

Another snow storm blew through today ... forecast for this area was fifteen to twenty inches of snow ... and it's every bit of that!

With another round of snow (six to eight inches???) forecast for next week, we stopped at Walmart last night to pick up some groceries. Many shelves were bare because of trucks not making regular deliveries due to the weather conditions. All the items I wanted were available, except for a package of half dozen eggs. But, by the time I need eggs, I'm sure the weather will be back to normal!

I baked a cake for my husband's birthday on Friday, but I didn't like it, so we got this little buttercreme frosted cake. :) Perfect!

I noticed the Valentine balloons on the ceiling as we were waiting in the checkout line, so I snapped a pic with my cellphone.

Looking forward to the Super Bowl this evening! Go Steelers!!!
