Baby Back Ribs

(Slow Cooker)

DRY INGREDIENTS

4 pounds pork baby back ribs

1/3 cup dark brown sugar

1 Tablespoon paprika

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon ground oregano

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 cup barbecue sauce (optional)

Yield: Serves 4

PREPARATION

Trim excess fat from ribs. Combine dry ingredients and rub over the surface of the ribs. Place ribs in slow cooker or crock pot standing on their edge with the meaty side out. Cook for about 8 hours. Remove ribs from slow cooker and brush with barbecue sauce.

For the past several weeks we’ve been in negotiations with Tribune Media for the right to retransmit their channels and we have made every effort to reach a fair deal. Tribune Media, however, is demanding a 324% rate increase and they have refused our proposal to pay a rate that is more than fair. Tribune also refused our request for an extension so that we could keep these channels up and running for our customers while negotiations continued.

Unfortunately, Tribune Media has removed their channels from our line-up. We’re disappointed they took this action, but we will continue to work with Tribune Media in hopes of reaching an agreement that is fair for everyone.
