I zoomed in on this squirrel in a pecan tree in the neighbor's back yard yesterday afternoon. The blue sky with clouds made a nice background for the photo.

Great squirrel pic. We have three squirrels nests in our little patch of woods. I have seen a squirrel or two but haven't been able to get a pic. I did see one running off with a miniature ear of Indian corn off my halloween display!! Cracked me up. When I went to see if they were all gone, I seen where it had eaten all the corn off one cob. left two for next time!!

Great photo, Christina - what a large nut he got himself there. I know they are rodents but they are very cute creatures.

Gotta love that zoom feature at times like this.

I think the photo makes him and his prize pecan look larger than they really are! :) But yeah, it's just a little point and shoot camera, but it does pretty good! And yay, the wind wasn't blowing, so I could hold the camera somewhat steady. He was busy with that pecan for some time, and Jazzy Beagle sat and barked at him.

Great shot... I saw a woodpecker pecking away in one of our trees, but of course he was gone by the time I got my camera!

Cute squirrel...I call them "tree rats" but I do like them. The squirrels around here are still sooo fat. They eat well!
